About the Role
You will integrate multi-DOF robotic hands with the humanoid control stack and validate motion, sensing, and control. You will lead calibration, end-of-line bring-up, design validation, debugging, controller tuning, system identification, and test automation. You will also build diagnostic tools, scripts, dashboards, and automated test rigs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with robotic or electromechanical systems focused on actuation, manipulation, or integration
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for embedded development and diagnostics
- Experience integrating sensors and tuning motion-system controls
- Understanding of mechanics, kinematics, controls, dynamics, and sensor technologies
- Familiarity with Linux-based development environments
- Skill with lab equipment for validation and software debugging
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical or Controls Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Integrate multi-DOF robotic hands with the humanoid control stack
- Plan and execute behaviors to validate motion, sensing, and control
- Own calibration strategies and end-of-line bring-up
- Create and implement design-validation and production-scale test plans
- Integrate position, torque, and tactile sensors into real-time control
- Develop real-time diagnostic algorithms and fallback strategies
- Debug mechanical, electrical, and software integration issues
- Tune high-bandwidth controllers and characterize actuation performance
- Bring up prototypes and first articles
- Build scripts, dashboards, and automated test rigs
