About the Role
You will monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and stabilize automated warehouse equipment in a live production environment. You will diagnose electrical, mechanical, and automation failures; perform preventive and corrective maintenance; document work in CMMS tools; support downtime recovery; guide technicians; and follow required safety procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 1 year of hands-on PLC diagnostic and troubleshooting experience, preferably with Allen-Bradley.
- At least 1 year of VFD diagnostic experience.
- At least 1 year of experience with AC and DC motors.
- Hands-on experience with automated systems such as conveyors, vertical lifts, and motor-driven equipment.
- Experience supporting autonomous or semi-autonomous systems, including AS/RS, robotics, servo motors, or 480V systems.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, and Linux for diagnostics, log review, and system interaction.
- Hands-on experience assembling, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting robotics and electro-mechanical systems.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain automated systems, including conveyors, lifts, robotic vehicles, motors, sensors, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, and automation troubleshooting to resolve production-impacting issues.
- Diagnose failures across Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, and control hardware.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on automated equipment.
- Use system data, alarms, logs, and dashboards to identify faults and recurring issues.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and findings in CMMS systems and internal tools.
- Act as a senior technical escalation point during disruptions and downtime.
- Partner with on-site maintenance, operations, and technical teams to restore system performance.
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job support to maintenance technicians and operators.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, LOTO, electrical safety, and company safety standards.
