About the Role
You will engineer automation equipment, cells, fixtures, and machines for production lines. You will manage equipment from requirements through vendor selection, factory acceptance testing, installation, and production handoff. You will integrate controls and equipment data, and improve uptime and cycle time after handoff.
Requirements
- Experience specifying and launching production equipment or automation cells
- Experience running factory acceptance tests
- Hands-on knowledge of sensors, drives, and program logic
- Experience integrating equipment data into OEE or MES reporting
- Experience completing installations with training, spares, and documentation
- PLC programming
- Robotics integration
- Machine safety standards
- CMMS and spares strategy
Responsibilities
- Engineer automation equipment, cells, fixtures, and machines
- Manage equipment from user requirements through production handoff
- Select vendors and run factory acceptance testing
- Integrate equipment controls and data for cycle counts, faults, and OEE
- Improve equipment uptime and cycle time after handoff
