About the Role
You will maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair AI servers, GPU clusters, storage, and network equipment. You will perform on-site diagnosis and repairs, monitor operations and analyze logs, prepare incident reports, update firmware and drivers, conduct preventive maintenance, manage spare parts, and support installations and relocations.
Requirements
- Experience maintaining x86 or GPU servers
- Hardware fault-isolation skills for power, memory, storage, PCIe, and GPUs
- Linux experience with Ubuntu, RHEL, or CentOS
- Network knowledge including L2/L3, TCP/IP, DHCP, and IPMI
- Customer-site technical support or on-site support experience
- Experience creating failure-response and maintenance documentation
- Experience using IPMItool, smartctl, and nvidia-smi
- Ability to read English manuals and communicate with overseas support
- English conversation ability for engineer Q&A
- Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology
Responsibilities
- Maintain, inspect, and respond to failures in AI servers, GPU clusters, storage, and network equipment
- Perform first-line diagnosis, on-site repairs, and component replacements
- Monitor operating status and analyze logs using NOC and remote monitoring tools
- Prepare incident reports and communicate with stakeholders
- Update firmware, BIOS, and drivers
- Plan and conduct customer inspections and preventive maintenance
- Coordinate escalations with engineering and support departments
- Manage maintenance inventory and coordinate replacement-part delivery
- Support and lead on-site installation and relocation work
- Communicate in Japanese and English
