About the Role
You will own planning, forecasting, and the financial model, turning data into decisions about budgets, pricing, margins, and growth. You will support go-to-market forecasting, board and investor materials, fundraising, and cross-functional business analysis.
Requirements
- 5+ years in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or consulting
- Expert financial modeling, including operating models and three-statement projections
- Experience owning budgets and forecasts at a high-growth company
- Experience forecasting SaaS revenue, including consumption or usage-based models
- Experience with pricing, unit economics, and gross margin analysis
- Experience preparing board materials or supporting fundraising
- Experience collaborating across an organization
- Fluency with spreadsheets and AI tools
- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area
- Investment banking or private equity experience followed by strategic finance at a high-growth startup
- Experience with AI business models, inference, and model costs
- Experience designing sales commission plans
- Experience with government contracts or professional services businesses
- SQL or BI tool skills
Responsibilities
- Build and own the financial model and projections
- Lead annual planning, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning
- Run the budget process and track departmental spend
- Partner on budget-versus-actual reviews, purchase orders, and procurement
- Forecast cash, burn, and runway
- Build headcount plans
- Own the go-to-market revenue forecast
- Define and report ARR, CARR, bookings, and retention
- Model sales capacity and coverage
- Design and model sales commission plans and review payouts
- Lead pricing analysis and support pricing strategy
- Analyze and improve gross margin
- Build board materials
- Support fundraising with investor models, data rooms, and diligence responses
- Partner with department leaders on plans, spend, and trade-offs
- Perform ad hoc business analysis and build investment business cases
- Use AI and automation to improve planning, reporting, and analysis
