About the Role
You will lead end-to-end hiring for robotics and AI/ML research roles. You will research technical literature, build relationships with university labs and faculty, use sourcing tools effectively, develop competency-based interview processes, train interviewers, and analyze the talent market.
Requirements
- 8+ years of technical recruiting experience
- Experience hiring research scientists or research engineers in robotics, AI/ML, autonomy, or an adjacent field
- Ability to understand and explain candidates' research contributions
- Knowledge of relevant labs, advisors, conferences, and talent movements
- Experience building faculty and lab relationships that resulted in hires
- Experience building or running tools that improve sourcing output
- Experience creating competency maps
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end hiring for robotics and AI/ML research roles
- Source candidates through research literature, conferences, citation graphs, and GitHub
- Build relationships with university labs and faculty
- Use AI tooling for enrichment, paper-to-profile matching, and personalized outreach
- Create competency maps with hiring managers and assign interviewers to assess specific skills
- Build and run interviewer training and calibration for research interviews
- Conduct talent competitor analysis across frontier labs, robotics startups, and AV companies
