About the Role

You will own on-premises and cloud infrastructure, secure configuration, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery. You will maintain segmented environments and security controls, administer identities and endpoints, manage IT assets and service delivery, and automate operational and compliance reporting.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, enterprise IT operations, or a related discipline.
• Experience independently owning production IT infrastructure and end-user environments in a complex, regulated, segmented, or security-sensitive organization.
• Hands-on expertise with Windows, macOS, Linux, server administration, virtualization, Azure or AWS, and Active Directory and Entra ID or equivalent identity platforms.
• Experience implementing system and endpoint hardening, configuration baselines, patch management, vulnerability remediation, encryption, EDR, and least-privilege controls.
• Experience supporting security or compliance programs and producing audit evidence.
• Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, VPNs, network segmentation, firewall policy, and secure remote access.
• Experience with endpoint management platforms such as Intune or Jamf.
• Experience implementing and testing monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and business-continuity capabilities.
• Strong documentation, prioritization, risk communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to support time-sensitive needs and planned after-hours maintenance or incident response.

Responsibilities

• Operate on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including servers, storage, backup platforms, identity services, network services, and enterprise applications.
• Administer Azure or AWS environments for availability, capacity, performance, monitoring, secure configuration, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Define technical roadmaps and drive infrastructure modernization, standardization, scalability, and resilience improvements.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, inventories, procedures, recovery documentation, configuration records, and service ownership information.
• Plan and execute infrastructure changes with testing, rollback, and post-implementation reviews.
• Maintain entity separation, trust boundaries, network segmentation, firewall policies, secure remote access, and controlled connectivity.
• Implement secure configuration baselines, patching, vulnerability remediation, endpoint protections, and least-privilege controls.
• Maintain audit-ready evidence and support audits, assessments, security reviews, and remediation plans.
• Administer identity platforms and manage Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints.
• Lead onboarding and offboarding, provide advanced troubleshooting, and manage IT asset lifecycle and licensing.
• Use scripting and automation to improve consistency, controls, and reporting.
