About the Role
You will lead the design, engineering, and modernization of secure Linux platforms across classified environments. You will automate infrastructure, implement security controls, integrate enterprise services, solve complex infrastructure problems, evaluate advanced computing technologies, mentor engineers, and support mission-critical operations.
Requirements
- BS degree in a related technical field and at least eight years of Linux systems engineering or administration experience, or equivalent education, experience, and certifications
- Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Advanced expertise in RHEL/Linux engineering, architecture, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and lifecycle management
- Experience with Ansible, Python, Bash, automation, and infrastructure as code
- Experience designing or integrating enterprise virtualization, identity, storage, monitoring, logging, and cybersecurity capabilities
- Ability to independently lead complex technical efforts and solve cross-functional infrastructure problems
- Ability to obtain and maintain required SCI clearance
Responsibilities
- Lead design, engineering, and modernization of secure Linux infrastructure
- Architect, build, optimize, and sustain enterprise Linux platforms
- Lead automation and infrastructure modernization using Ansible, Python, Bash, Git, and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Implement security controls, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, monitoring, and compliance
- Integrate Linux with identity, virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, and security platforms
- Perform root-cause analysis and develop sustainable engineering solutions
- Evaluate emerging HPC, AI/ML, GPU, and container technologies
- Translate requirements into secure, resilient, and scalable solutions
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, standards, and roadmaps
- Support mission-critical operations, maintenance, and after-hours requirements
