About the Role
You will split your time between building the core product and delivering it directly to customers. You will understand customer workflows, build and deploy production-ready AI-enabled applications and integrations, and feed field learning back into reusable platform capabilities and the roadmap. You will set technical direction, make architecture decisions, write and debug code, own delivery from prototype through production, and operate across application, infrastructure, data, and customer systems in secure and regulated environments.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience building and shipping production-quality systems
- Ability to apply AI and machine learning techniques
- Experience with LLM approaches including RAG, guardrails, and evaluations
- Scalable system design experience
- Experience with backend engineering, distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, or applied AI/ML systems
- Full-stack development ability across backend, frontend, infrastructure, integrations, and deployment
- Ability to turn unclear customer requirements into working software
- Strong technical communication skills
- Strong debugging ability across application code, data, infrastructure, networking, and customer systems
- Preferred: full-stack, backend, forward-deployed, solutions, product, platform, or startup engineering experience
- Preferred: AI agents, LLM applications, workflow orchestration, evaluations, guardrails, retrieval systems, or model deployment experience
- Preferred: AWS, Azure, or GCP experience
- Preferred: Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD, observability, and secure deployment experience
- Preferred: identity and access management, audit logging, and data governance experience
- Preferred: compliance, security, or operational constraint experience
- Preferred: secure or regulated customer environment experience
Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to understand workflows, pain points, data environments, and operational constraints
- Build reusable core-platform capabilities and customer-specific integrations
- Build and deploy AI-enabled applications, agents, and workflow automation
- Apply RAG, guardrails, and evaluations to customer solutions
- Translate customer needs into technical requirements and implementation plans
- Own delivery from prototype through production
- Design architecture and build backend services, APIs, integrations, observability, testing, and deployment
- Integrate customer systems, data sources, identity providers, and cloud or on-premises infrastructure
- Partner with product, engineering, security, and customer teams
- Debug deployed environments across application, infrastructure, data, and integration layers
- Set technical direction
