About the Role
You will shape observability practices for large-scale platforms by defining logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting strategies. You will improve telemetry pipelines, build root-cause analysis tooling, guide instrumentation, strengthen reliability, drive adoption, and troubleshoot production issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with highly distributed systems
- Expertise designing APIs and high-throughput real-time data pipelines
- Experience improving availability performance latency efficiency capacity SLOs and incident management
- Proficiency with Go or Java
- Advanced system design knowledge
- Experience with Docker Kubernetes and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
- Hands-on experience with observability data stores and telemetry tooling
- Strong technical communication stakeholder management and mentorship skills
Responsibilities
- Define logging metrics tracing and alerting strategies
- Resolve scaling bottlenecks in telemetry pipelines
- Build tooling for root-cause analysis and MTTR reduction
- Guide engineering and SRE teams on monitoring and instrumentation
- Improve reliability by addressing bottlenecks and single points of failure
- Drive feature implementation and adoption
- Provide input during planning and refinement
- Respond to alerts and troubleshoot production issues
