About the Role

You will shape observability practices for large-scale platforms by defining logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting strategies. You will improve telemetry pipelines, build root-cause analysis tooling, guide instrumentation, strengthen reliability, drive adoption, and troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with highly distributed systems
  • Expertise designing APIs and high-throughput real-time data pipelines
  • Experience improving availability performance latency efficiency capacity SLOs and incident management
  • Proficiency with Go or Java
  • Advanced system design knowledge
  • Experience with Docker Kubernetes and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
  • Hands-on experience with observability data stores and telemetry tooling
  • Strong technical communication stakeholder management and mentorship skills

Responsibilities

  • Define logging metrics tracing and alerting strategies
  • Resolve scaling bottlenecks in telemetry pipelines
  • Build tooling for root-cause analysis and MTTR reduction
  • Guide engineering and SRE teams on monitoring and instrumentation
  • Improve reliability by addressing bottlenecks and single points of failure
  • Drive feature implementation and adoption
  • Provide input during planning and refinement
  • Respond to alerts and troubleshoot production issues
