You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of highly scalable, performant, and reliable authentication and authorization systems, including login flows, session management, token issuance, and access control. You will propose and implement cloud-based identity solutions such as SSO, MFA, and federated identity integrations. You will own and evolve the auth platform, set standards for consistent implementation across services, lead technical design discussions, collaborate with product, security, and compliance teams, and mentor mid-level engineers. You will also identify and evaluate emerging technologies in identity and access management.

  • Experience designing and implementing complex distributed systems, including microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration
  • Strong expertise in cloud-based solutions with hands-on experience in AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, including infrastructure as code and serverless architectures
  • Experience building distributed systems with microservices and relational and NoSQL databases, with strong understanding of secure data handling for PII and credentials
  • Familiarity with security and compliance requirements relevant to identity systems (SOC 2, HIPAA, or similar) is a plus
  • Experience leading technical design discussions and providing guidance on best practices, coding standards, and architecture principles
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proven ability to deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced environment
