About the Role
You will build responsive, map-centric ground control and command-and-control applications for mission planning, live operations, telemetry visualization, video streaming, and post-mission debriefing. You will own full-stack architecture and APIs, mentor engineers, prepare mission-ready deployments, support field tests, and improve performance, interoperability, testing, and release automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 7 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 6 years with a master's degree, or 4 years with a PhD
- Experience with React, TypeScript, and responsive web applications
- Full-stack or backend development experience with C/C++, Python, TypeScript, or Go
- Knowledge of networked and distributed systems
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools
- Database experience, preferably with spatial or geographic data
- Experience owning a major software capability from architecture through field delivery
- Experience mentoring engineers
- Experience authoring or negotiating API specifications or ICDs
- Strong debugging and profiling skills
- Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
Responsibilities
- Develop and field web-based GCS and C2 software
- Own technical direction for major GCS features and full-stack subsystems
- Architect frontend and backend systems and design APIs
- Collaborate with autonomy, perception, flight operations, and external partners
- Mentor mid-level engineers and onboard senior hires
- Drive design reviews, UI/UX prototyping, testing, and documentation
- Prepare and validate mission-ready ground stations and C2 web servers
- Support live mission operations and troubleshoot field systems
- Diagnose integration, database, API, UI, and network performance issues
- Build post-mission debrief and telemetry analysis tools
- Improve deployment pipelines, reliability, and simulation testing
- Own C2 standards compliance and integration
