About the Role

You will own platform features from data-model and service design through APIs and, where needed, the user interface. You will focus primarily on reliable, observable, scalable backend systems while setting standards for code organization, testing, API design, and deployment. You will prototype and ship AI-powered product features, build interfaces for LLM outputs and human-in-the-loop workflows, and make architectural tradeoffs between backend performance and frontend quality.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of fullstack engineering experience, including 1–2 years in a senior IC or tech lead role at a high-growth startup or product company
  • Expert Python backend development experience building scalable services and APIs
  • Strong React and TypeScript skills
  • Strong PostgreSQL skills, including schema design, query optimization, and migrations
  • Understanding of RESTful API patterns, GraphQL, authentication, error handling, and versioning
  • Knowledge of async patterns, queues, caching, monitoring, Docker, CI/CD, Terraform, and AWS
  • Hands-on LLM/AI integration experience, including prompt engineering, streaming responses, and human-in-the-loop workflows
  • Knowledge of frontend state management, build tooling, and testing
  • Daily experience using agentic coding tools
  • Written and spoken English fluency

  • Make architectural decisions that balance backend performance and frontend polish
  • Partner on cross-stack architecture and communicate technical decisions to stakeholders

Benefits

  • Flexible remote work environment
  • Paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and local holidays
