About the Role
You will design, implement, validate, deploy, and analyze behavior-planning and motion-planning features. You will debug autonomy behavior using logs, simulation, metrics, and driving data; define success criteria; write production C++ software; participate in technical reviews; and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Behavior planning, motion planning, decision-making, robotics, autonomous-vehicle, or related experience
- C++ software engineering skills
- Production or near-production autonomy-software experience
- Robotics or autonomy debugging using logs, metrics, and simulation
- Safety, comfort, and deployment-readiness judgment
- Collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and improve behavior-planning and motion-planning features
- Own planning projects from problem definition through deployment
- Debug autonomy behavior using logs, simulation, metrics, and real-world data
- Improve planning decisions across safety, comfort, progress, and operational constraints
- Collaborate across prediction, controls, perception, machine learning, simulation, systems, and safety
- Define success metrics and validation plans
- Write production-quality C++ software
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions
- Mentor junior and senior engineers
