About the Role
You will design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs. You will optimize data storage, monitor distributed systems and databases, troubleshoot performance issues, improve architecture, and ensure services remain secure, scalable, and reliable. You will also contribute to code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
Requirements
- Experience as a Backend Engineer with database design and system architecture expertise
- Expertise in ClickHouse or similar columnar databases
- Experience with Elasticsearch
- Proficiency in Python and Go
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
- Understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud infrastructure
- Experience with performance tuning, data modeling, and query optimization
- Problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs
- Build and optimize data storage solutions using Postgres, ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, data scientists, and machine learning engineers
- Monitor and troubleshoot distributed-system and database performance issues
- Write clean, maintainable, efficient backend code
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration
- Ensure backend-service security, scalability, and reliability
- Analyze and improve system architecture, performance bottlenecks, scaling, and security
