About the Role
You will lead delivery of autonomy capabilities for V-BAT and X-BAT. You will integrate mission autonomy, payloads, flight-control interfaces, executive autonomy, and multi-agent behaviors; resolve aircraft integration issues; guide systems architecture; mentor engineers; prepare releases; support field testing; and improve engineering workflows.
Requirements
- BS/MS in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Expert C++ development experience
- Expert Linux development experience
- Experience leading complex autonomy or embedded-software integration efforts
- Experience influencing technical direction across engineering teams
- Experience supporting operational tests or customer deployments
- Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
Responsibilities
- Lead technical execution from architecture through field deployment
- Integrate mission autonomy payloads flight-control interfaces and multi-agent behaviors
- Partner with the Aircraft team on integration and mission readiness
- Solve systems-integration challenges across engineering groups
- Influence architecture interface design and integration strategy
- Lead design reviews and contribute to ICDs
- Mentor engineers and improve engineering rigor
- Drive release readiness and support flight tests demonstrations and deployments
- Improve integration workflows testing infrastructure and productivity
- Implement GCS and command-and-control interfaces
- Travel to offices customer sites training events and tests
