About the Role
You will build and harden agent systems, scientific computing integrations, and evaluations for science and engineering work. You will work directly with domain experts to turn open-ended problems into verifiable tasks, ship partner pilots, and convert successful solutions into reusable tools and processes.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience building systems with large language models, agents, tool use, or evaluations
- Experience with technical problems in science or engineering
- Engineering experience across data pipelines, tooling, and interfaces
- Experience working directly with expert users
- Communication skills for researchers, engineers, and external partners
Responsibilities
- Build agent harnesses and research loops for literature review, hypothesis generation, simulation, analysis, and design iteration
- Connect scientific computing and simulation tools for reliable, scalable use
- Design evaluations that measure whether model work is correct
- Work with scientists and engineers to define verifiable tasks and success criteria
- Prototype with partners and ship pilots into their workflows
- Turn successful engagements into reusable tools, components, and documented processes
- Explain performance, limitations, and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Share model limitations and learnings with research and product teams
