About the Role

You will define and evaluate complex SoC subsystems for high-performance silicon devices. You will translate product requirements into architectural trade-offs collaborate on solutions assess third-party IP guide implementation teams manage bring-up and evaluation activities and drive technical objectives across functions.

Requirements

• Degree in Electronic Engineering Computer Science or a related subject
• Experience specifying complex silicon SoC devices
• Strong software development experience
• Understanding of complex computer and SoC architecture
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong technical specification writing experience
• Knowledge of RTL development and verification processes
• Ability to work across teams and programming languages
• Architecture modelling experience in Python C++ or Rust is desirable
• Experience with machine learning or massively parallel computing systems is desirable
• Verilog knowledge is desirable
• Knowledge of DDR PCIe Ethernet or on-chip networks is desirable

Responsibilities

• Distil product requirements and assess SoC and platform design trade-offs
• Collaborate with processor SoC and system architects on optimal solutions
• Guide silicon design verification and hardware engineers
• Evaluate third-party hard and soft IP and liaise with IP vendors
• Design and specify SoC subsystems and their integrations
• Manage silicon bring-up characterisation and evaluation queries
• Drive delivery of technical objectives
• Advise on infrastructure and process planning
• Represent silicon architecture in cross-functional working groups
• Mentor technical engineers
