About the Role
You will support the development and flight testing of the X-BAT program. You will inspect and verify test hardware, review technical documentation, manage discrepancies and nonconformances, and ensure test articles meet engineering, quality, safety, and configuration requirements. You will analyze quality data, maintain traceability and records, and support safe ground and flight test execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, technology, quality, or a related field, or equivalent developmental test operations experience
- 5+ years of developmental or operational ground or flight test experience
- Experience with developmental aircraft, complex aerospace hardware, or mission-critical systems
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, test procedures, work instructions, and acceptance requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced developmental test environment
- Willingness to work outdoors at test ranges and travel as required
- Availability for overtime, evening, and weekend coverage as required by flight test operations
Responsibilities
- Support ground and flight test readiness through hardware inspections, configuration verification, test article acceptance, and documentation review
- Identify, document, and resolve hardware, configuration, process, and test discrepancies
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, test procedures, work instructions, configuration records, and acceptance criteria
- Ensure test articles meet engineering, quality, safety, and configuration requirements before testing
- Support ground and flight test activities and post-test evaluations
- Manage nonconformances, discrepancies, and quality records through containment, investigation, disposition, and corrective action
- Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Identify quality risks and implement mitigations
- Analyze test and quality data for trends and process improvements
- Support configuration management and traceability
- Maintain complete objective evidence and quality records
