About the Role
You will lead the contract manufacturing and supplier quality program. You will establish supplier selection, monitoring, scorecards, incoming material reviews, CAPA processes, traceability, compliance controls, KPIs, training, and risk-mitigation plans. You will partner across functions to resolve supplier and process issues during volume ramps.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- 5+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing team performance and development.
- Knowledge of supplier quality best practices and contract manufacturing management.
- Experience developing supplier scorecards, performance dashboards, and quality-improvement roadmaps.
- Communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage conflict and make data-driven vendor approval decisions.
- Ability to pass a background check and participate in a drug and alcohol program.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a supplier quality vision and long-term strategy.
- Establish supplier selection, development, monitoring, and performance scorecard programs.
- Implement incoming material reviews, CAPA processes, and traceability protocols.
- Establish supplier quality systems aligned with ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Procurement, Technology, R&D, and Operations to ensure supplier compliance with specifications.
- Define and track supplier quality KPIs and present risk assessments to senior leadership.
- Provide quality and process-improvement training.
- Assess critical suppliers and develop contingency strategies for supply-chain disruptions.
