About the Role
You will architect characterization and testing strategies for silicon photonics products. You will develop test concepts, platforms, plans, and software; operate optical equipment; work with vendors and OSAT partners; and support design validation, production, and reliability testing.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Photonics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of silicon photonics test-development experience.
- Industrial experience supporting new product introduction and volume production.
- Deep understanding of silicon photonics components and circuits.
- Experience defining test cells with design teams for model feedback and validation.
- Hands-on photonics-component and circuit characterization and testing experience.
- 3+ years of high-speed photonic device testing and system link bring-up experience.
- Experience with AWG, DCA, DSO, PNA, and LCA test equipment.
- Python test-system automation experience.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architecture and design teams on characterization and test techniques.
- Architect test concepts, platforms, and design-for-test rules.
- Create detailed test plans and ensure timely execution.
- Define, develop, and set up wafer-, package-, and system-level tests.
- Develop test software for execution, data analysis, and parameter extraction.
- Specify and procure test equipment with vendors.
- Set up and operate optical and high-speed test equipment.
- Bridge gaps between test and platform-validation teams.
- Define and refine high-volume manufacturing test techniques with OSAT teams.
- Support pre- and post-stress reliability testing.
