About the Role

You own the electrical design and optimization of a turnkey prefabricated modular AI factory. You support research and development, standardize modular electrical design blocks, translate customer requirements into design strategies, support manufacturing and cross-functional engineering work, research new electrical technologies, and own the electrical design roadmap. You also contribute to field installation, commissioning, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in prefabricated building electrical design and application
  • Experience designing and iterating modular data centers, including electrical and compute rack design
  • Product management experience supporting a product roadmap and continuous improvement
  • Field application experience installing and commissioning modular assets
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and shift between customer discussions and engineering templating
  • Understanding of AI compute load impacts on power distribution from the utility transformer to the server rack
  • Presentation and interpersonal skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Analytical problem-solving skills for feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses
  • AI modular data center design and field installation experience is preferred
  • Professional engineering license is preferred

  • Standardize and template design blocks for modular electrical systems
  • Translate customer requirements into modular design strategies
  • Support Crusoe Industries as a technical stakeholder
  • Support broader design engineering work on fast-track projects and scope changes
  • Research and test new electrical technologies for future prefab design iterations
  • Own the electrical design roadmap for Crusoe Spark
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses
