About the Role

You will design, prototype, analyze, validate, and release complex electromechanical systems. You will evaluate components and suppliers, create drawings and manufacturing documentation, manage BOMs and ECNs, test prototypes, lead design reviews, coordinate with cross-functional partners, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 6 years of hands-on design experience
• Industrial robotics, automation, or material handling experience
• SolidWorks proficiency
• FEA experience with SolidWorks Simulation or Ansys
• Experience designing for machining, casting, sheet metal, plastics, and fabricated assemblies
• Mechanical design and prototyping knowledge
• Written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Invent reliable integrated hardware solutions
• Design and validate complex electromechanical systems using SolidWorks
• Perform feasibility analyses and design trade studies
• Evaluate and validate mechanical components from suppliers
• Provide technical direction to external design partners and suppliers
• Perform and document mechanical and tolerance analyses
• Create mechanical drawings compliant with ANSI Y14.5
• Manage BOMs and ECNs in Siemens Teamcenter PLM
• Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and improve prototypes
• Write test plans and validate design safety and effectiveness
• Build program plans and schedules
• Lead design reviews and communicate project status
• Mentor junior engineering staff
