About the Role

You will own robot subsystems from architecture and development through volume manufacturing. You will create and release designs, parts, assemblies, drawings, production documentation, and engineering changes. You will validate systems, investigate failures, lead corrective actions, and perform design analyses.

Requirements

• BSME and at least 5 years of relevant experience, including professional engineering experience with an MSME or PhD
• Proficiency with CATIA or equivalent CAD tools, finite element analysis, 2D drawings, and simulation
• Familiarity with PLM systems and the ECO process
• Experience bringing mechanical components from concept through mass production
• Knowledge of ASME drafting standards and GD&T
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Technical writing proficiency
• Eligibility to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Own robot subsystems through architecture, development, and volume manufacturing
• Develop proof-of-concept, prototype, and production designs
• Design and release parts, assemblies, and drawings using CATIA
• Develop bills of material, assembly drawings, and maintenance instructions
• Plan and perform verification and validation activities
• Participate in DFM, DFA, and cost-reduction activities
• Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective and preventative solutions
• Author specifications, test plans, and reports
• Write Engineering Change Orders
• Perform FEA and tolerance-stack analyses
