About the Role
You will lead the design, development, and validation of manufacturing tools and processes for computing hardware. You will drive tooling programs from concept through mass production, manage supplier deliverables and validation activities, and improve yield, quality, cost, and production efficiency.
Requirements
- Expertise in injection molding, die casting, sheet metal stamping, progressive die design, tooling fabrication, commissioning, and validation
- Knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, tool validation, capacity studies, process capability analysis, and DFM/DFA
- CAD proficiency, preferably SolidWorks
- Familiarity with PLM systems
- Experience managing international suppliers and offshore tooling projects
- Fluent Mandarin and English communication skills
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time
- Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and validation of manufacturing tools and processes
- Drive tooling programs from concept through mass production
- Ensure tooling precision, manufacturability, repeatability, and alignment with product requirements
- Manage tooling documentation, supplier deliverables, validation activities, and lifecycle improvements
- Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, and manufacturing sites
- Mentor junior engineers
- Travel internationally up to 25% of the time
