About the Role
You will define and execute board- and system-level manufacturing test strategies with ODM partners. You will develop test plans, requirements for stations and fixtures, test coverage, pass criteria, and production readiness. You will monitor yield, investigate failures, drive root-cause corrective actions, support NPI and production ramps, and communicate test risks and quality status.
Requirements
- 8+ years of manufacturing test engineering, hardware test engineering, or production test development experience
- Experience supporting high-volume server manufacturing or comparable hardware products
- Understanding of ICT, MDA, board functional testing, diagnostic testing, and manufacturing defect detection
- Experience working with ODM, CM, or JDM manufacturing partners
- Hands-on experience with Linux-based test environments
- Knowledge of server hardware architecture
- Experience defining test fixture requirements and supporting fixture readiness
- Understanding of manufacturing quality metrics, failure analysis, and corrective action
- Ability to review test logs, identify failure signatures, and isolate hardware, firmware, software, test-process, or fixture issues
- Written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Define and execute L6 board-level manufacturing test strategy with ODM partners
- Develop test plans for ICT, MDA, board functional testing, diagnostic coverage, line flow, and containment
- Align manufacturing test coverage with product risk areas
- Define requirements for test stations, fixtures, test software, diagnostic content, and test infrastructure
- Support development, validation, and release of board functional tests
- Review ICT and MDA coverage and improve defect detection
- Define test criteria, limits, data collection, retest rules, and failure handling
- Support manufacturing-test bring-up, debug, qualification, NPI, and production ramp
- Support L10 system-level manufacturing test development and deployment
- Define manufacturing-line and fixture requirements
- Drive fixture validation, correlation, preventive maintenance, and production readiness
- Create and maintain manufacturing quality plans
- Monitor yield, failure trends, retest rates, false failures, and escape risks
- Lead investigations into manufacturing test failures and yield loss
- Drive root-cause analysis, corrective action, containment, and process improvements
- Serve as the technical interface with ODM manufacturing test teams
- Support NPI, pilot builds, production ramp, and sustaining manufacturing activities
- Travel to ODM manufacturing sites as needed
