About the Role

Lead field deployment, integration, and startup of BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and related automation systems for hyperscale data centers. Enforce controls standards, configure operator interfaces, oversee system integrators, troubleshoot protocol and network issues, validate systems through FAT and SAT, optimize data collection, and train other controls engineers through operational handover.

Requirements

  • Extensive professional experience deploying, integrating, and starting up PLC, SCADA, BMS, and EPMS platforms
  • Experience executing automation systems in data center or other high-availability environments
  • Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA, and MQTT
  • Practical knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, PLC/DDC logic, and industrial automation equipment
  • Experience translating engineering designs into physical installations
  • Experience solving complex automation integration challenges in construction environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Relevant PLC or SCADA certifications are preferred
  • Experience with Ignition or Rockwell is preferred
  • Experience with industrial cybersecurity practices is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead field deployment, integration, and startup of BMS and EPMS automation solutions
  • Enforce controls, BMS, and EPMS standards across projects and sites
  • Deploy and configure dashboards, HMIs, and operator workstations
  • Oversee system integrators and point-to-point checkouts
  • Troubleshoot automation integration, system inconsistencies, and network issues
  • Configure and troubleshoot BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA, and MQTT networks
  • Conduct system testing, simulation, FAT, and SAT
  • Validate system functionality, sequencing, and data accuracy
  • Ensure controls platforms collect and transmit real-time and historical data
  • Mentor and train controls engineers
