About the Role

You will build finite-element models and perform structural analyses of UAV components. You will validate results with hand calculations, optimize airframe structures, support structural testing, analyze telemetry and test data, define loads and design margins, and document technical recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of structural analysis, finite element modeling, or aircraft loads analysis experience
• Experience with ANSYS, NASTRAN, HyperWorks, or similar FEA tools
• Ability to perform hand calculations for structural strength, stability, and fatigue
• Knowledge of composite materials and lightweight aerospace structures
• Familiarity with static, vibration, and fatigue testing
• Proficiency with Excel, MATLAB, Python, or similar data analysis tools
• Ability to obtain an S//SAR security clearance is desired

• Build and refine finite element models for UAV components
• Perform static, modal, fatigue, and vibration analyses
• Conduct hand calculations to validate finite element analysis results
• Optimize airframe structures for weight, strength, and manufacturability
• Develop structural validation test plans
• Analyze flight telemetry and structural test data
• Define load cases, material properties, and design margins
• Document and present structural analysis reports and recommendations
• Collaborate to align structural requirements with system performance goals
• Improve structural analysis methodologies, tools, and practices
