About the Role

You will own the lifecycle of physical infrastructure assets, ensuring equipment is accurately tracked, capitalized, and reconciled. You will review purchase requisitions and orders for CAPEX versus OPEX treatment, track capital expenditures by project, and process capitalizations, transfers, and retirements in the fixed asset sub-ledger. You will reconcile operational asset tools with the fixed asset sub-ledger and general ledger, prepare PPE roll-forwards, and maintain deposit and Construction-in-Progress reconciliations. You will support property tax reconciliations, monthly accruals, external audits, due diligence requests, and physical asset counts.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of dedicated fixed asset accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP, CAPEX versus OPEX considerations, internal controls, and accounting best practices
  • Working knowledge of consolidations, joint ventures, and intercompany transactions
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze large amounts of data accurately
  • Experience with Sage Intacct, MRI Asset4000, FloQast, Coupa, and LeaseQuery
  • Expert-level Excel skills

Responsibilities

  • Review purchase requisitions and orders for proper CAPEX versus OPEX treatment
  • Track and reconcile capital expenditures by project Authority for Expenditure
  • Process and reconcile capitalizations, transfers, and retirements in Asset4000
  • Reconcile Netbox with the fixed asset sub-ledger and Intacct general ledger
  • Prepare monthly and year-to-date PPE roll-forwards for legal entities and joint ventures
  • Prepare and maintain deposit and Construction-in-Progress reconciliations
  • Support property tax GL account reconciliations and monthly accruals
  • Support external audit and due diligence requests
  • Lead book-to-floor and floor-to-book physical asset counts and reconciliations
