About the Role
You will develop and implement technical accounting policies and reporting for products and services. You will research accounting standards and significant transactions, support financial statement preparation and audits, maintain internal controls, and contribute to month-end close. You will also mentor colleagues and partner with Engineering and Data to automate reporting and improve the close process.
Requirements
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in external audit, accounting, and/or advisory at a Big 4 firm at Manager level or above.
- Strong technical accounting background and ability to interpret and apply accounting standards in complex situations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Active CPA license.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
Responsibilities
- Drive the development and implementation of technical accounting policies and reporting for all products and services.
- Lead technical accounting discussions with auditors, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
- Research accounting and disclosure requirements for proposed standards and transactions.
- Maintain and update internal control policies and procedures and provide supporting documentation to auditors.
- Support month-end close activities, including complex reconciliations and journal entries.
- Lead financial statement audits and improve audit processes with cross-functional partners.
- Mentor and coach team members.
- Partner with Engineering and Data teams to develop automated reports that improve the close process.
- Support ad hoc accounting projects and complex accounting processes.
