About the Role

You will oversee accounting operations and support financial planning and analysis. You will manage month-end and year-end close processes, review reconciliations and journal entries, ensure GAAP and internal-control compliance, coordinate annual audits, review staff work, and help improve financial systems and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting and financial-analysis experience
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivots, SUMIFS, and financial modeling
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial-reporting requirements
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Big 4 or top 10 accounting-firm experience preferred
• Familiarity with trade lifecycle and settlement accounting for equities, futures, and options preferred
• Broker-dealer regulatory-reporting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes and ensure accurate, timely financial statements
• Assist the FP&A team with business partnering and forecasting
• Manage and review account reconciliations, journal entries, balance sheet accounts, and tax requests and payments
• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and internal-control procedures
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits
• Review accounting and shared-services staff work for accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate with IT to improve financial systems and automate manual processes
• Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives
