About the Role
Design, build, and deploy scalable, containerized Scala backend solutions for advanced trading systems using distributed systems, Kubernetes, microservices, monitoring, logging, and market data integrations.
Requirements
- BA or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of software development experience with real-time applications.
- Professional Scala backend development experience.
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong work ethic, accuracy, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to resolve uncertainty and communicate effectively.
- Ability to own projects through design, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance, and iteration.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Scala backend systems using Kubernetes.
- Architect, deploy, and manage scalable backend applications in Kubernetes.
- Implement and enhance microservices for trading applications.
- Develop distributed systems for high-performance, low-latency trading requirements.
- Implement monitoring and logging for backend performance analysis.
- Integrate backend systems with market data feeds.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, UX/UI designers, and engineers.
- Maintain technical documentation and deployment procedures.
- Work with project managers to deliver solutions.
