About the Role
You will oversee event operations, hospitality staff, service plans, guest services, catering coordination, and customer satisfaction. You will manage hospitality requests in JIRA, coordinate group travel, maintain training materials, enforce food-safety practices, and work with vendors to resolve delivery and product-quality issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 5+ years of hospitality experience
- 2+ years of management experience
- Ability to carry items up to 25 lbs
- Ability to work all shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to travel and support all SpaceXAI sites as needed
- Valid California Food Handler and RBS Certification or willingness to obtain them before employment
- Manager-level food safety certification or ability to obtain it
- Eligibility under U.S. export regulations or ability to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorization
Responsibilities
- Hire and manage Spaceport Events team performance
- Develop and execute service plans, timelines, and schedules
- Manage JIRA tickets for events, catering, meetings, and tours
- Oversee catering reports for food venues, meeting spaces, and event areas
- Coordinate large-group travel, accommodations, transportation, and onsite activities
- Plan services in shared spaces with hospitality leadership
- Ensure staff follow food-safety practices
- Create and maintain training materials
- Monitor staff rotations, break coverage, and daily responsibilities
- Communicate with vendors about orders, deliveries, and product quality
