About the Role
You will bridge engineering and product, spending 40–50% of your time on technical work and the remainder on people, product, and stakeholder responsibilities. You will lead a team of 4–6 engineers, prioritize the backlog with product, and support continuous delivery. You will design and evolve cloud-based distributed systems, set technical standards, review and write code, and make stack decisions. You will work with product, customers, and non-technical stakeholders to turn needs into technical solutions. You will also hire, develop, and retain technical talent.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience, including at least 3 years leading teams.
- Proven experience designing and operating cloud-based distributed systems using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ability to review and write code in Go, Node.js, .NET, Java, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience in startups or high-growth environments using agile methodologies.
- Ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders and participate in product discussions.
- Professional written and spoken English.
- Experience leading architecture migrations from monoliths to microservices.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability.
- Direct experience with customers or end users.
Responsibilities
