About the Role
You will define the architecture and technical direction for China Local Regulatory Reporting systems. You will lead software delivery from design through support, translate regulatory requirements into maintainable solutions, promote modern engineering practices, mentor engineers, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- At least 5+ years in team management or technical leadership
- Proficiency in Java, REST APIs, and microservices architecture
- Experience with large-scale data, batch processing, and real-time data streams
- Financial-industry experience, particularly Chinese financial-market regulatory reporting
- Experience building low-latency, high-throughput platforms in a financial institution or FinTech company
- Communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Design and set the technical direction for China Local Regulatory Reporting systems
- Ensure designs meet security, scalability, performance, throughput, and regulatory requirements
- Implement DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software delivery practices
- Lead software delivery across design, development, testing, deployment, and support
- Translate regulatory reporting requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and strengthen engineering capabilities
- Collaborate with audit, compliance, and risk teams to maintain regulatory compliance
