About the Role
You will develop and maintain cloud storage control-plane and orchestration software. You will research and deliver features, improve performance and maintainability, contribute to Ceph, support deployments, and help build storage solutions for high-performance computing and AI workloads.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience focused on storage or distributed systems
- Proficiency in PHP and Python for control-plane and orchestration development
- Understanding of cloud storage architectures and technologies
- Knowledge of Linux or Unix operating systems
- Experience with distributed systems and networking fundamentals
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with Ceph, open-source projects, documentation, BSD, Puppet, Ansible, Test Driven Development, Go, Lua, CI/CD, or RESTful APIs
Responsibilities
- Research and develop features, address technical debt, and improve application performance
- Design, develop, and maintain PHP storage control-plane contributions
- Integrate Python orchestration code to automate cloud storage operations
- Contribute to the open-source Ceph project
- Design cloud-provider storage solutions for high-performance computing and AI workloads
- Support feature resourcing and deployment with internal and external teams
- Optimize and refactor codebases for performance and maintainability
