About the Role

You will architect cloud platform services for compute lifecycles, hosts, capacity, and placement. You will build resilient APIs and distributed systems, automate operational workflows, lead incident response, write design documents, review code, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience building highly available distributed systems in Python, Go, or a similar language
• Experience designing and operating distributed state machines, orchestrators, workflow engines, or high-throughput APIs
• Understanding of Linux and Kubernetes
• Understanding of fault tolerance, state machines, idempotency, and graceful degradation
• Experience automating operational toil
• Technical leadership experience in ambiguous infrastructure problems

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale cloud platform services for compute lifecycles, hosts, capacity planning, and placement
• Improve observability and alerting
• Engineer self-healing control loops for bare-metal lifecycle events
• Design and maintain resilient APIs, backend services, and distributed state machines
• Lead incident response and post-incident analysis
• Define cross-system contracts with partner functions
• Contribute to architecture, design documents, code reviews, and mentoring
