About the Role
You will build a vendor-agnostic storage control plane and declarative abstraction layer for storage platforms. You will create Kubernetes orchestration for capacity, tenancy, encryption, and placement; develop multi-tenant controls and capacity engines; and instrument storage fleets with observability and performance monitoring.
Requirements
- 5+ years of storage-system software development experience
- Experience with distributed systems programming, load balancing, data durability, consensus, fault tolerance, and consistency
- Programming skills in C, C++, Go, or Python
- Experience with Linux kernel internals and system-level programming
- Experience with storage protocols such as S3 or NFS and file systems such as Ceph or DAOS
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and QA practices for distributed systems
Responsibilities
- Design and build a vendor-agnostic storage control plane
- Define an internal abstraction layer for vendor APIs, failure semantics, QoS controls, and telemetry
- Build Kubernetes reconciliation loops, CRDs, controllers, operators, and schedulers
- Manage capacity, tenancy, encryption domains, and placement across data centers and availability zones
- Own multi-tenant isolation, QoS, rate limiting, credentials, and key lifecycle
- Design capacity and placement engines aware of PCIe topology, NUMA, and failure domains
- Define SLI and SLOs and build observability for performance regression detection
