About the Role
You will design, build, and scale low-latency, highly available backend systems for margin trading. You will develop message-driven services with Java and Micronaut, manage leverage and collateral infrastructure, support real-time risk assessment and automated liquidations, optimize payment services, maintain testing standards, and evaluate backend technologies. You will also mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software development experience
- Experience with Java 17 or newer
- Experience with Micronaut or Spring Boot
- Understanding of relational and non-relational databases
- Experience with Postgres and MongoDB is a bonus
- Experience creating and maintaining publicly available REST APIs
- Knowledge of performance optimization and scalability
- Practical experience with message-oriented middleware
- Experience with Apache Kafka RabbitMQ SQS or ZeroMQ is ideal
- Understanding of CI/CD
- AWS and Kubernetes familiarity is ideal
- Experience with any public cloud is acceptable
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable resilient message-driven services using Java 25 and Micronaut
- Write clean future-proof code and maintain 80% unit test coverage
- Perform end-to-end and integration testing before deployment
- Optimize payment modules and services for reliability maintainability performance and scalability
- Research and adopt current backend development technologies
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
