About the Role

Work with software engineers and other interns across the software development lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment, and debugging of proprietary trading applications. Participate in trading fundamentals and proprietary systems training.

Requirements

  • Experience developing efficient, user-friendly, and extensible programs.
  • Object-oriented programming experience, preferably with C++, C#, or Java.
  • Ability to communicate project updates effectively.
  • Ability to use AI tools while maintaining independent judgment and critical thinking.
  • Ability to live in Chicago and attend the internship fully in person during summer 2027.
  • Graduation date of December 2027 or Spring 2028.
  • Interest in technology and financial markets.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with software engineers and other interns.
  • Participate in training on trading fundamentals and proprietary trading systems.
  • Design, implement, and debug trading applications.
  • Ensure software meets requirements and is testable.
  • Communicate with project managers and team leadership to develop work strategies.
