About the Role
You will own end-to-end quality for an assigned product squad, from test strategy through release confidence. You will build and maintain Playwright automation, collaborate on testable designs and API contracts, improve test reliability, integrate tests into CI/CD, conduct exploratory testing, and support junior QA members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA engineering and test automation
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright
- Experience writing automation in TypeScript or JavaScript
- Experience building and maintaining tests using Page Object Model or modular test architecture
- Experience shaping application architecture and API design for reliable automation
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of test design principles and the software testing life cycle
- Proficiency with AI-assisted engineering tools in a production QA context
- Ability to independently own quality for a product area
- Strong communication skills with engineers and product managers
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end quality for an assigned product squad
- Partner with developers and product managers to define acceptance criteria and build testability into features
- Design, develop, and maintain Playwright-based automated tests using Page Object Model patterns
- Write and maintain TypeScript or JavaScript automation and contribute to shared frameworks
- Collaborate on system design, API contracts, and application architecture
- Identify, analyze, and eliminate test flakiness
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using smoke and regression tagging strategies
- Apply AI-assisted development tools to improve coverage and productivity
- Perform manual and exploratory testing and convert findings into automated coverage
- Support junior QA team members through code reviews, pairing, and feedback
- Uphold SDLC and information security standards
