About the Role
Prepare, package, document, and coordinate outgoing shipments from manufacturing shops to job sites. Inspect inventory, tag materials, operate pallet jacks or forklifts, load and unload trucks, complete quality documentation, photograph projects, record damages or shortages, support process improvements, uphold safety procedures, and help train new team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or a related role
- Forklift experience
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and use arms and hands for a full workday
- ERP software proficiency is a bonus
- ISO 9001:2015 experience is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Follow the shipping schedule
- Prepare shipping invoices and packing slips
- Coordinate and perform loading of outgoing shipments
- Package shipments to prevent damage
- Inspect incoming and outgoing inventory
- Tag materials with required information
- Move materials using a pallet jack or forklift
- Complete quality check sheets
- Photograph projects and document damages, overages, or shortages
- Support status tracking and continuous improvement
- Uphold safety policies and procedures
- Provide staffing and hiring input
- Train new team members
