About the Role
Manage the accurate flow of materials from manufacturing shops to job sites by following shipping schedules, preparing documentation, packaging and loading shipments, inspecting inventory, tagging materials, operating material-handling equipment, completing quality records, documenting damages or shortages, supporting status tracking, training new team members, and maintaining safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or a related role
- Forklift experience
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and use arms and hands for a full workday
Responsibilities
- Follow the shipping schedule
- Prepare shipping invoices, packing slips, and other required documentation
- Coordinate and perform loading of outgoing shipments
- Package materials to prevent damage
- Inspect incoming and outgoing inventory for accuracy and quality
- Tag materials with required information
- Use a pallet jack or forklift to move materials
- Load and unload delivery trucks
- Complete quality check sheets before final packaging
- Photograph projects and document damages, overages, and shortages
- Update the status board
- Participate in training new team members
