About the Role
You will own and execute the product direction for Hardhat and EDR, defining roadmaps and shaping developer-facing APIs, CLIs, and UX. You will write clear product requirements and PRDs, scope features for technical feasibility, prioritize work with engineering, unblock development, and ensure consistent developer experiences.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years product management experience on technical developer-facing products or platforms
- Minimum 2 years prior professional software engineering experience in a strongly typed language (TypeScript, Rust, C++, C#, Java, or Go)
- Experience translating developer needs into clear product requirements and PRDs
- Process-driven experience across discovery, design, iteration, and release cycles
- Ability to evaluate technical feasibility, architectural constraints, and engineering trade-offs
- Experience building or managing developer tooling such as APIs, SDKs, CLIs, or IDE integrations
- Exposure to Ethereum protocol, tooling, or developer workflows
Responsibilities
- Own and execute product roadmaps for Hardhat and EDR
- Prioritize features based on developer impact, engineering cost, ecosystem needs, and strategy
- Provide product and UX guidance to engineers during feature development
- Write PRDs and product documentation and structure feature definitions
- Ensure requirements are technically realistic and clearly scoped
- Define UX expectations, API behavior, and developer-facing feature design
- Decide how functionality should surface (API, CLI, interface, configuration)
- Align on dependencies, sequencing, and trade-offs with engineering
- Identify high-impact problems, improve prioritization of bugs and feedback, and help unblock development
- Represent the product perspective in internal and ecosystem-facing conversations
