About the Role
You will install, qualify, maintain, repair, and relocate laboratory instruments and control units. You will manage network connectivity, IP addressing, FortiGate firewalls, and service requests; document work; support labs; train on technical systems; and follow safety and compliance procedures.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology with a networking focus, a related field, or equivalent education and experience
- Five or more years servicing medical or laboratory equipment or supporting networked systems in research, hospital, or clinical laboratory settings
- Hands-on networking experience with IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, switches, routers, and firewalls
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting FortiGate or similar network security appliances
- TCP/IP

- FDA and ISO regulatory awareness
- Experience in an IVD GMP or ISO regulated environment
- CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE, or Cisco CCNA certification
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and installation or operational qualifications
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, deinstall, and relocate instruments and control units
- Install or upgrade system and application software
- Establish, maintain, and troubleshoot network connections
- Map and manage IP addresses for networked instruments and systems
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot FortiGate firewall devices
- Diagnose network issues involving VLANs, switches, routing, DNS, and DHCP
- Provide IT hardware and networking support for research and training labs
- Document support activities in equipment management systems
- Coordinate and triage network service requests through ServiceNow
- Provide status updates and support stakeholders
- Train on instrument service, networking, and troubleshooting
- Comply with safety policies and procedures
