About the Role

You analyse measurements from large-scale Linux systems and turn performance and reliability data into engineering decisions. You interpret distributed-system behaviour, compare results across runs and configurations, define acceptable performance thresholds, and improve measurement, storage, querying, and analysis processes.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering experience across multiple projects or systems
• Experience with Linux-based environments, distributed systems, or high-performance systems
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with automation and CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
• Ability to design, implement, and run meaningful experiments or tests
• Ability to interpret results and communicate accurate findings
• Experience with large-scale or distributed systems, performance or reliability testing, pytest, load analysis, containerisation, orchestration, provisioning, C++, data analysis, or statistics is desirable

Responsibilities

• Analyse results from distributed-system measurements
• Understand performance variability and repeatability
• Define normal and acceptable system behaviour
• Analyse compute, network, and ML workload data
• Compare results across runs, configurations, and system scales
• Help define pass/fail thresholds
• Improve how measurement results are stored, queried, and interpreted
