About the Role
You analyse measurements from large-scale Linux systems and turn performance and reliability data into engineering decisions. You interpret distributed-system behaviour, compare results across runs and configurations, define acceptable performance thresholds, and improve measurement, storage, querying, and analysis processes.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience across multiple projects or systems
- Experience with Linux-based environments, distributed systems, or high-performance systems
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with automation and CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
- Ability to design, implement, and run meaningful experiments or tests
- Ability to interpret results and communicate accurate findings
- Experience with large-scale or distributed systems, performance or reliability testing, pytest, load analysis, containerisation, orchestration, provisioning, C++, data analysis, or statistics is desirable
Responsibilities
- Analyse results from distributed-system measurements
- Understand performance variability and repeatability
- Define normal and acceptable system behaviour
- Analyse compute, network, and ML workload data
- Compare results across runs, configurations, and system scales
- Help define pass/fail thresholds
- Improve how measurement results are stored, queried, and interpreted
