About the Role
You will resolve complex platform escalations across compute, networking, storage, IAM, and operating systems. You will troubleshoot live incidents, automate triage and recovery, investigate root causes, review infrastructure configurations, and uphold federal security requirements in a secure facility.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, support engineering, DevSecOps, or related experience
- Linux or Unix operating-system internals
- Networking
- Distributed systems
- Python, Bash, Go, or Java
- Cloud infrastructure on AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or GCP
- Terraform or CloudFormation
- Docker or Kubernetes
- 3+ years of technical communication experience
- Ability to work on-site in the McLean secure facility
Responsibilities
- Resolve complex platform escalations across compute, networking, storage, and operating-system domains
- Triage defects and perform root-cause analysis
- Collaborate with engineering teams on permanent bug fixes and supportability improvements
- Write diagnostic and automation scripts
- Lead technical triage and incident response
- Diagnose patch deployment failures and review Infrastructure-as-Code configurations
- Ensure platform interventions comply with federal security standards
- Participate in an on-call rotation
