About the Role
You will lead program execution across hardware systems activities, managing integrated schedules, resources, dependencies, risks, materials, budgets, and external suppliers. You will coordinate engineering work from design through production, facilitate decisions, communicate status to stakeholders, and establish practical program-management processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 5+ years of hardware engineering program management experience
- Experience with electrical and mechanical development cycles
- Experience managing concurrent engineering programs with shared resources
- Knowledge of PCBA, mechanical enclosures, PCB fabrication, system integration, bring-up, EVT, DVT, PVT, and production
- Experience coordinating contract manufacturers and ODMs
- Experience with material flow, component tracking, and BOM management
- Project management tool expertise, including Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent
- Ability to comply with U.S. export control requirements
Responsibilities
- Own coordination across hardware systems activities and maintain integrated schedules
- Drive cross-functional alignment, meetings, decisions, risk communication, and follow-up
- Manage resource loading and capacity visibility across concurrent programs
- Build schedules covering bring-up milestones, NPI phases, EVT, DVT, PVT, and dependencies
- Own supporting engineering programs, including tester boards, demos, lab fixtures, calibration equipment, and internal tools
- Track component orders, fabrication runs, assemblies, and engineering samples
- Coordinate hardware deliverable dependencies, quantities, and timelines
- Manage schedules, deliverables, technical alignment, and open issues with external manufacturers and fabricators
- Represent hardware systems in program reviews and planning cadences
- Track budgets for engineering activities, prototype builds, and tooling
- Replan when scope, schedules, or engineering realities change
- Maintain status reporting, risk registers, dependency tracking, and decision logs
