About the Role

You will lead solutions to complex mechanical, electrical, and optical hardware challenges for verification devices. You will architect next-generation devices, integrate optical components, evaluate sensors and cameras, and influence enclosure and component design. You will coordinate across electrical design, mechanical design, product, software, and manufacturing, manage risks and dependencies, monitor program status, and drive projects from kickoff through high-volume production while communicating issues and progress to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in electrical engineering mechanical engineering embedded systems IoT devices or related fields
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or design related discipline
  • Exceptional hardware architecture and detailed design experience for high-volume production devices
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to turn incomplete conflicting or ambiguous inputs into actionable plans
  • Experience handling projects end-to-end from kickoff to production
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and anticipating blockers

Responsibilities

  • Lead exploration of novel electro-mechanical components and systems
  • Support workstreams across electrical design mechanical design industrial design product device software and industrialization
  • Influence mechanical design including device enclosure comprised of glass metal and plastic parts
  • Influence optical design and integration of custom liquid lens RGB IR camera lenses autofocus and optical filter elements
  • Evaluate sensors and RGB IR cameras to meet security and performance requirements
  • Manage cross-functional dependencies risks and changes by optimizing scope schedule and resources
  • Monitor program status identify issues and risks and communicate them to stakeholders
  • Drive hardware architecture and detailed design for high-volume production devices
  • Lead projects from kickoff through production
