About the Role
You will develop mechanical designs for high-power data center products from concept through production. You will design chassis and enclosures, translate industrial concepts into manufacturable solutions, manage tooling, integrate designs with product architecture, and apply manufacturing, shock, vibration, and DFM requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- At least 10 years of mechanical engineering experience with high-power data center products
- Experience designing and managing data center chassis and enclosures
- Mechanical design expertise
- Proficiency with mechanical CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, FX, or CATIA
- Knowledge of soft and hard tooling processes
- Knowledge of manufacturing, shock, and vibration requirements
- Problem-solving and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine mechanical designs for high-power data center products
- Manage the transition from appearance models to production-ready designs
- Integrate mechanical designs with overall product architecture
- Lead data center chassis and enclosure design from concept through production
- Manage soft and hard tooling for mass production
- Ensure designs meet manufacturing, shock, and vibration requirements
- Translate industrial design concepts into manufacturable mechanical solutions
- Apply DFM principles to optimize manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance
